monica and i dressed up for the ball (or palace restaurant with some gift certificates in hand, oops they close at 9 better head for gosh!), and we needed to wrestle the camera from june... 1 way to do that: get her in a picture...

:::grapefruit a la june:::

after june's nap this afternoon she thought she'd enjoy a lovely grapefruit, and who wants a whole grapefruit... so she grabbed a cutco knife and cut her grapefruit and her finger about a third of the way through...

the bleeding never stopped until the stitches were in...

she was a brave patient...

so brave and fully recovered that she ripped the skin near the stitches defending a toy from henry's theiving hands... a half hour of elmo elevated and wrapped and the new cut stopped bleeding... she is asleep with the finger bandaged and immobilized...

best june moment: i'm carrying june out the door holding a towel tight around her finger and tell aiden to pick june's dress up so we can put it on her in the car... june says through tears, "no, not that dress. that dress dirty. aiden, get new dress."

runner-up best june moment: i tell june to thank the doctor as he's putting the stitches in her finger. she says, "thank you for tying it up."
